Council for American Private Education (CAPE)

The Council for American Private Education (CAPE) is a coalition of national organizations and state affiliates serving private elementary and secondary schools. One in four of the nation's schools is a private school; eleven percent of all students attend them. CAPE member organizations represent about 80 percent of private school enrollment nationwide. Jewish Agency's (JAFI) online database of Jewish educational materials, includes listings of curriculum, books, videos etc. on Israeli and Arab-Israeli conflict. The database is searchable by keywords, subjects, authors, and titles.

EDUCAUSE

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. Membership is open to institutions of higher education, corporations serving the higher education information technology market, and other related associations and organizations. EDUCAUSE programs include professional development activities, print and electronic publications, strategic policy initiatives, research, awards for leadership and exemplary practices, and a wealth of online information services. The current membership comprises nearly 1,900 colleges, universities, and education organizations, including more than 180 corporations, and more than 13,000 active member representatives. EDUCAUSE has offices in Boulder, Colorado, and Washington, D.C.

Hidden Sparks

Hidden Sparks is a non-profit fund whose purpose is to help children with learning differences reach their full potential in school and life. Hidden Sparks develops and supports professional development programs for Jewish day schools to help increase understanding and support for teaching to diverse learners.

Of special note is Hidden Sparks Without Walls (WOW), an online offering of short-term courses on differentiated learning to teachers in Jewish day schools and yeshivas, combining audio and online content-- all free of charge.

Hidden Sparks was named as one of the 50 Most Innovative Jewish Nonprofits in America by Slingshot 2010.
