Experiential Education
What We Know About Experiential Education
As educators, how do we provide impactful learning for our students? What steps can we take to ensure they "get" the lesson? Our next webinar will explore an aspect of education that has been around since Dewey (if not before), which has been gaining momentum: Experiential Education! During the webinar we will explore theory and practice for classroom usage of experiential education. What was once relegated to the realm of camp and youth group has branched out and is utilized in every education location.
Our presenter, Mark S. Young of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, will help us understand this educational mode and how it can enhance our work. To prepare for the webinar, please read "What We Know About Experiential Education" by Professor Joseph Reimer and Dr. David Bryfman. It is an excellent article that will give a wonderful basis for our discussion.
