Research and Evaluation
The Mandell L. Berman Jewish Heritage Center for Research and Evaluation in Jewish Education at JESNA serves as the central information resource on Jewish educational research and evaluation for federations, central agencies for Jewish education, national and international organizations, and the media.

Congregational and Communal Education
JESNA works with its professional, lay, and institutional partners to build systemic linkages for strengthening Jewish education, to coordinate educational support systems, and to develop new models for effective education in the area of congregational and communal education. JESNA has produced reports on the Task Force on Congregational and Communal Jewish Education which provide recommendations and strategies to help transform the congregational and communal Jewish education landscape.

Central Agency Capacity Building
JESNA is committed to help build the capacity of central agencies. Capacity building involves strategies, resources and actions designed to increase the effectiveness of individual central agencies and to strengthen the system of central agencies thru its professional organization, the Association of Directors of Central Agencies (ADCA). JESNA works with the local central agencies and ADCA to develop new knowledge, resources, motivation, organizational capacity and infrastructure.

Professional Development and Advancement
Professional Development and Advancement provides information and assistance to individuals interested in careers in Jewish education. JESNA aims to recruit individuals to the field of formal and informal Jewish education through outreach and innovative programming and to provide educators with information about professional development programs both in North America and in Israel.
