JESNA’s priorities for 2009 build on the strategic direction and program achievements already outlined are:
- Embarking on the next stage of our Central Agency capacity-building initiatives, including implementation of the joint "WOW Project" for under-affiliated young families in communities, improved benchmarking and impact assessment, and lay leadership development in collaboration with the Association of Directors of Central Agencies and national funding partners.
- Expanding the menu of services offered to communities and other program providers through the Berman Center to include research projects, evaluations, and an array of training workshops in logic modeling, evaluation techniques, and data-driven decision making protocols.
- Intensifying our efforts to bolster and improve the educational options for children and families not in day school (including those currently receiving no Jewish education) through the work of our Center for Excellence in Congregational Education in collaborative projects with PELIE, ADCA and other partners.
- Work with communities through the Lippman Kanfer Institute to help them implement innovative models aimed at expanding educational participation and deepening its impact; and assisting educators and institutions in adapting to change successfully.
- Beginning the newest stage in our growth and development in our new headquarters at 318 West 39th Street!
